OMG, what a week. No, sorry - what a MONTH!
This past week we had a big three-day meeting in Miami, which required A LOT of preparation - to a point where I came to the office an hour early, stayed an hour longer, without having a real lunch break. It felt like I was spending more time in the office than outside, because there was just so much to do.
But because I helped out so much they let me come to Miami, which makes me the first intern who was allowed to do that *is very proud and thankful* So now I not only had to prepare the office things, but also my personal stuff.
So I spent the last weekend working my way through a huge shopping list on a very tight budget, squeezing in the "Bon Jovi Open Air in Central Park" concert on Saturday evening, for which I had won two tickets and which was AMAZING.
Then, thanks to
janine83, I went to the Premiere of "The Dark Knight" Monday evening after work. I was a bit late, because I couldn't leave before 6pm and by the time I arrived at Lincoln Square most of the film's stars had already entered the theater. HOWEVER, after fighting off a reporter from German TV channel RTL, who wanted to interview me (what a coincidence!) I took a few pictures of Patrick Wilson, Edie Falco and Emile Hirsch. I actually had to leave at 7pm, because I had to run some more errands, but of course I couldn't force myself to leave just yet. Good thing I stayed, because just then Penn Badgley and Blake Lively showed up!!! Janine, sweetie, if you want any of these in hi-res, let me know!
So Tuesday morning I was on a plane to Miami - the worst flight of my life so far. We had to go down through a severe thunderstorm, and the small plane was jumping around like crazy. I had people screaming and praying all around me, and I don't know which was worse!
The next few days were a lot of work, many (really interesting) presentations - and an air conditioned room, with a great bathroom and amazing food in a very nice hotel in Miami :)
I came back last night only to find that during the past three days Manhattan has become even hotter and more humid than Miami *fun* so I am sitting at Starbucks right now. The heat in my room (without a/c) is unbearable!
