It's that time of the year again - damn, is it really? - and I'm officially launching my annual Holiday Card Exchange - because an actual card is so much better than an email ;-)

Please follow this link to sign up.

in case you haven't noticed, I haven't updated this blog in FOREVER. no seriously, it's been almost a year. a very busy year that is, in which I also moved on to some new things. while I sometimes felt like blogging, I just didn't feel like doing it on LiveJournal anymore. and for the longest time I didn't get around to setting up something else, but now I finally did, so ... without further ado, please update your bookmarks, I'm back at:

since my LiveJournal account is a permanent one I will just keep everything here the way it is. maybe I'll use it for something else in the future. keep an eye out for this year's "Holiday Card Exchange" post, which is coming up soon at miss-newyork.net. I hope to see you there soon!

Because it was so much fun last year, I really wanna do this again!

So, how does this work?
We exchange addresses and send each other real, hard-copy holiday cards.

If you wanna join the fun, please leave a comment (all comments will be screened by default) with your address (exactly the way I should write it on the envelope, including your country) and which holiday you're celebrating (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year, etc), and I'll reply with my address. That's it :-)

BTW, I'm celebrating Christmas.

Ooh, look at that - a post :-)

Yesterday afternoon I got back from Germany-
I went back home on November 20th, perfect timing to miss the start of Twilight!!! But I found out that some of my cousins in Germany read the books as well as my aunt, who was told by a fellow kindergarten mother she HAD to read it! I honestly had no idea the fandom had spread that much.

So when I came back to New York yesterday, I basically just threw my luggage in my room and went straight to the movie theater!!!

Here's what I thought )

So, that was my humble opinion. I might have to go and watch it again soon though!

OMG, what a week. No, sorry - what a MONTH!
This past week we had a big three-day meeting in Miami, which required A LOT of preparation - to a point where I came to the office an hour early, stayed an hour longer, without having a real lunch break. It felt like I was spending more time in the office than outside, because there was just so much to do.
But because I helped out so much they let me come to Miami, which makes me the first intern who was allowed to do that *is very proud and thankful* So now I not only had to prepare the office things, but also my personal stuff.
So I spent the last weekend working my way through a huge shopping list on a very tight budget, squeezing in the "Bon Jovi Open Air in Central Park" concert on Saturday evening, for which I had won two tickets and which was AMAZING.
Then, thanks to [info]janine83, I went to the Premiere of "The Dark Knight" Monday evening after work. I was a bit late, because I couldn't leave before 6pm and by the time I arrived at Lincoln Square most of the film's stars had already entered the theater. HOWEVER, after fighting off a reporter from German TV channel RTL, who wanted to interview me (what a coincidence!) I took a few pictures of Patrick Wilson, Edie Falco and Emile Hirsch. I actually had to leave at 7pm, because I had to run some more errands, but of course I couldn't force myself to leave just yet. Good thing I stayed, because just then Penn Badgley and Blake Lively showed up!!! Janine, sweetie, if you want any of these in hi-res, let me know!

So Tuesday morning I was on a plane to Miami - the worst flight of my life so far. We had to go down through a severe thunderstorm, and the small plane was jumping around like crazy. I had people screaming and praying all around me, and I don't know which was worse!

The next few days were a lot of work, many (really interesting) presentations - and an air conditioned room, with a great bathroom and amazing food in a very nice hotel in Miami :)
I came back last night only to find that during the past three days Manhattan has become even hotter and more humid than Miami *fun* so I am sitting at Starbucks right now. The heat in my room (without a/c) is unbearable!
